I am currently working as a Senior RF Engineer in Tata Tele Services, a renowned Telecommunications Service Provider in India.

Description:	5. SIGNAL INTEGRITY FOR PCB BUS BACK PLANES Software : Agilent’s Advanced Design Systems (ADS) 2002c Duration : Feb 2003 to Dec 2003 Venue : Northern Ireland Technology Centre* Client : Solectron & C-MAC, Northern Ireland, UK* Bit rates from 2.5 Gbit/s to 10 Gbit/s in modern telephone systems. One major bottleneck is the backplane, which must carry power, ground, signal and in some cases optical signals from board to board in telephone system rack. In this project, passive backplanes are analysed for the loss of signal due to attenuation, dispersion reflection, impedance, and crosstalk between the layers and signal lines. This work has commenced by designing microstrip conductors and continues to examine the reflection co-efficient at the ports of the system and design multilayers for four port and eight port systems. The coupling efficiency between the conductors and layer is reported. This is extended to analyse the transmitted wave and reflected waves in the time domain for different termination impedances. Finally the stripline has been designed and analysed for differential shielded and unshielded four port and eight port systems. The system has been analysed and the results were provided with experimental validation. These reports were compared with MOMENTUM, ADS2002C (Advanced Design Systems 2002c) and laboratory results.
