Project Engineer, Pakistan Telecommunication Company Ltd (PTCL), Karachi, Pakistan.
April’07- Feb’08

Responsibilities:

• New city planning with thorough survey of potential subscribers in commercial/residential areas.
• Nominal planning for coverage & capacity of GSM/GPRS.
• Preparation of RF link budgets. Site design for outdoor RF repeaters, in-house survey, planning and design.
• GSM RF Planning and optimization including drive/walk testing and post analysis
• Radio site verification by identifying reasons of interference poor radio coverage network quality and suggesting changes in RF frequencies/hoping sequence/dB parameters/neighbours/antenna orientation and tilts.
• Project responsibility and interface to various customers in collaboration with sales organization and operations in different sites.
• End-to-end responsibility for assigned RF projects, customer relation, project controlling, documentation, hand over

• Installation and commissioning of new cell site of GSM, SIEMENS BS240 XLII.
• Installation of Microwave Antenna & Indoor-Outdoor unit including LoS Management and Loop checking.
• Installation of Feeder Cables, IF cable, feeder and IF groundings & GSM antennas.
• Drive test on TEMS and TEMS investigation for network analysis, problem identification and solution
