RF Tuning and Optimization Projects
1) Cingular (Boston, MA and Little Rock, AR) UMTS/HSDPA Post Launch Tuning, Optimization and Customer Support:
Provided Customer Support as Ericsson’s representative to the markets of Boston and Little Rock, for Cingular Wireless
Responsible for the UMTS network from the customer’s point of view (After post Launch)
Responsible for explaining to the customer about UMTS
Worked one on one with the customer to find solutions to the problems faced with network
Provided daily KPI’s to the customer
Tuned event triggering parameters to improve the overall KPIs related to IRAT Handover, Dropped call rate, Network Accessibility, Soft/Softer Handover and data throughput of network.
Lead a team of drive testers and RF Engineers for post launch drive testing and tuning.
Setup IMSI and Cell Traces on OSS for uplink analysis of drive data.
Setup of counters and formulas to generate daily statistical reports of KPI’s and monitor effects of changes.

2) Cingular (Houston, Little Rock, Los Angeles, and Florida) UMTS/HSDPA Pre Launch tuning:
Worked in the pre launch phases of the following markets: Houston, Little Rock, Los Angeles, and Florida.
Tasks Included:
Analysis of TEMS and Agilent drive data to find Missing UTRAN and IRAT neighbors, Swapped feeders.
Analysis of uplink IMSI traces for drive test UEs to find any core issue.
Pilot pollution analysis and downtilt recommendations for overshooting cells.
Gave recommendations for areas that were low in coverage.
Analysis of Layer messages.
Parameter audit of all the sites with the RND-CIQ to make sure all newly on aired sites have the correct parameters loaded.
