Development of GSM/GPRS Layer 1 controller Company: Digibee Microsystems Private Limited Period: Aug 2007 onwards Role: Working as a tech lead. Tested, optimized the generic layer 1 controller code. Ported the protocol stack/layer 1 controller code to Windows and ARM. Involved in testing/issue resolution of all the protocol stack layers. Currently working on complete bluetooth implementation. Also working on GSM Timer Controller Unit that will be used to control precise slot wise timing to the RF and also for Tx and Rx of data (based on DigRF interface). 2. Development of POSIX compliant interface Company: SYMBIAN India Private Limited Period: April 2006 – Aug 2006 Role: Team member. Involved in understanding Symbian OS. Porting the POSIX specification code on Symbian OS. 3. Development of Base models for GSM/GPRS phones Company: LG Soft India Private Limited Period: July 2004 – April 2006 Role: As a tech lead handling gsm/gprs protocol stack/Bluetooth/SIM/Call Register. Handled a team of 8 members. Worked on base model/CA development for various models such as LG C3400, G1600, F2300, F2400, S5200, P7200 and M1600. Worked onsite at Seoul for 6 months. Have a year and a half experience of working on TTPCOM platform. 4. GSM850 layer 1 controller development Company: SKYWORKS India Period: July 2003 – June 2004 Role: Owner, Layer 1 controller. Involved in understanding the gsm/gprs layer 1 controller software. Understanding the Layer 1 controller-DSP interface, layer 1 controller – Integrated Analog IC interface, layer 1 controller – Direct Conversion Transceiver Interface. Implemented the complete GSM850 software for Layer 1 controller, which involved movement of DCR tunestore from DSP to layer 1 controller, RF calibration for GSM850 band, L1-DSP integration, and GSM850 software changes. Performed the first basic call on GSM850 band. Passed layer 2 integration test cases over CMU200 and CRT-UG. Also involved in field-testing of GSM850 band at various areas in USA. 5. NAS Modules development Company: SASKEN communication technologies Limited Period: May 2001 – July 2003 Role: Team member/Module Owner for CC/LLC. Involved in coding/testing/optimization of GSM/UMTS call control, Mobility Management, Call related supplementary services. Also involved in re-design of SNDCP. Coded supplementary services such as AoC, Multi-Party, Call Hold, and UUS. Worked on layer 4/NAS integration. 6. Maintenance of BTS controller software Company: SASKEN/NORTEL Networks Period: Nov 2000 – April 2001 Role: Maintenance of BTS Controller (NMS). Understood the air interface for IS-95 including Channel coding, Power Control, Correlation, and CDMA Physical Channels.
