Design Sanity Testing - Nortel CS1K 6.0

Verification of designer's new Build. Testing the different features of CS1K Rls 6.0.which includes implementation of new features. Executing the sanity test cases & updating in QC. Troubleshooting & rectification of major issues before making the load build official. CR tracking is done when issues reported.

Testing of Nortel Product interaction with Microsoft – Office Communication server 2007 (OCS2007)
1. Preparation of Test Plans and carrying out CS1k interop with OCS2007.
2. Testing of various scenarios of H.323, SDP, and SIP Switching Calls between the CS1k with OCS2007 server
3. Handling the CR’s and keep tracking for their fixes & Retesting with the updated patches.
4. Executing the test cases as per the test plan and updating the same in Quality centre
5. Upgrading the Server with the new build and loads for the testing activity

Testing of Nortel Meridian Switch – Multimedia Communication Server (MCS)
CURRENT OPERATIONAL TASKS OVERVIEW
I. Working on testing the CS1k which is a combination of ISDN and VOIP technologies. e.g.: ISDN, SIP, H323, LDAP.
II. Testing of various scenarios of H.323, ISDN, RTCP, RTP, SDP, and SIP Switching Calls.
III. Environment using Sun Solaris as OS on MCS Windows server 2000 OS on the MAS servers.
IV. Preparation of the test plans and Carrying out CS1K Interop testing with the MCS 3.5 and MCS 4.0.
V. Meridian new release 5.0 has much new functionality. This project is about the feature interoperability with the MCS as a product.





VI. Writing the test plan for the Meridian new Release 5.0 and Verifying the test cases part of the test plan and also running the Background traffic using the Sipp tool.
VII. Call Features, H.323, ISDN, RTCP, RTP, SIP, TCP/IP, LDAP Brower/Editor, Windows 2000 Active Directory Server, Windows 2003 Active Directory Server, TELECOM.
VIII. Exposure to Various tools like Sipp, QTP and Mercury’s Quality Centre.

Worked as Engineer –Switch Operations.
O&M of MSC/VLR/HLR on Ericsson AXE 810/10 platform. The Switching System is Ericsson AXE 10 with APZ 212 40/33/30 Processor-
¶ First Line of Maintenance i.e. Alarm handling, Fault diagnosis and Rectification
¶ Implementing MSC connectivity with other exchanges using CCS#7 and/or R2 Signaling and maintenance of the same.
¶ Management of Exchange data viz. different Analysis tables such as B-Number analysis, Route Analysis, AND CHARGING Analysis etc. according to the changing requirements.
¶ Roaming implementation and Testing with national and international partners
¶ To perform the Health check up of all the BSC/MSC Nodes and ensuring 100 % network availability.
¶ Lead investigation teams in conjunction with major disturbances and failures or other serious system problems as also to work for emergency support

Development of Blimp
This Project involved the design and development of Hardware and Software for navigator controller, which involves data acquisition for speed, Heading, Elapsed Time, Altitude, Latitude, Longitude, Pressure sensors and control the aircraft with the above data. I was involved in Analysis of the impact on Hardware Part, the conversion of the corresponding Software programs and their unit testing based on the architecture.





Project work Nov 02 – Mar 03
The project involves graphical simulation of ground control station, which gives a user interface to the pilot for flying the Blimp. The basic instruments needed for flying are simulated. Offline data is used for evaluation. It can be directly integrated with the telemetry data from the Blimp and real time parameters of the Blimp can be displayed. It can be augmented with more parameters and pages to get a comprehensive data logging mechanism for post flight analysis.
