Work
Experience
• RF Field Engineer- Newfield Wireless, Berkley California (Currently)
Finding Path loss and Coverage of cell sites for AT&T in GSM and EDGE
networks.
Tools using: Agilent, Truepath.
• RF Engineer, Reliance Infocomm Limited, India
Integration and Optimization for new CDMA cell-sites and carriers. Configure all RF parameters. Configuring neighbor lists, hand-down parameters, Optimization and performance analysis of CDMA Network. Verifying that handoffs between sectors and neighboring sites take place. Identification of coverage holes within the network, problems from system statistics drive tests and implementing suitable remedies. Analyzing the layer 3 messages (SS7). Checking whether the messages are properly transmitted and received and in specific sequence. (June 05-June 06)
Tools used: CAIT, LCAT, MapInfo.
• Test engineer Internship, Urvi Transformers Pvt LTD, India
Tested various types of Transformers, Inverters, and Voltage Stabilizer to verify performance, durability and reliability of all these devices under different condition. (May 04- Dec 04)
• Network Technician- Southern Methodist University ,Dallas
Performed installations, technical support, troubleshooting and maintenance of network equipment installed and upgraded software and hardware equipment. Managed Infrastructure installation services including network facilities, WAN/LAN teams and performed design, survey, installation and commissioning of network devices. (Jan 07-Dec 07)
Technical &
Computer Skills
Networking: OSI Architecture, TCP&UDP, RIP, IGRP, OSPF, ATM, SIP, VOIP,
Mobile IP.
Wireless: GSM, GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, IS-95, CDMA2000, IMS-IP, Bluetooth
Application: MATLAB, OPNET
Languages: C, C+, HTML.
Platforms: Windows 00/NT/XP/Vista, LINUX, MS-DOS, MAC (OS)
SIP LAB: Documented a SIP lab report by sniffing data packets over the network on which the VOIP call was established. The captured data packets of SIP, SDP/RTP were later analyzed using Ethereal software.
Projects
• Implementation of Wireless LAN
Two PC are connected using RF transceiver. Commands such as copy, paste,
cut, rename are successfully implemented between two PC.
• Multi-channel bell with digital display
Switches are connected in four by four matrix so that when particular switch is
pressed number will display and bell will ring
