UMTS integration and interoperability Engineer (2004-2005)

 Selected as a key Support Engineer for a project with SKT, South Korea. Worked locally with SKT to integrate and operate the Nortel UTRAN interface with the LG Core nodes. Received exceptional recommendations and feed back at the end of the project.
 Supported AWS UMTS trial which included 4 RNCs and 1500 Node Bs in Seattle and Atlanta. Some responsibilities included Network and Frequency Planning, Network Optimization using QEDesign tool and RF measurements.

 Developed test strategy and test cases for new UMTS Features ahead of schedule.

UMTS KPI (Key Performance Indicators) Leader (2002-2004)

 Performed KPI measurements on End to End UMTS system and produced required results to meet aggressive time frames.
 Reduced the measuring time of the various KPI indicators by 70%.
 Synthesized KPI data and performed in depth analysis on observed results. This included breaking down the system performance into Nodal and subcomponents.
 Set up and operated specialized test equipment to decode UMTS interfaces (Catapult, Tektronix K12, and Radcom).
 Executed performance measurements on UMTS products by collecting data from the various system interfaces (Iub, Iu, Iur, Iu-CS, Iu-PS, Gi and Gn). Derive overall delay time across the entire system and provide feedback to the Design community.
 Defined test cases and performed Simulations/Emulations to determine the performance requirements of the UMTS system.
 Investigated the performance of systems under different Radio environments and proposed methods and actions to enhance performance.



Optical Verification Engineer (2000-2002)

 Responsible for Product Verification for several releases and test suite deliverables including Sanity, Regression, Performance, IFS. Duties included the development of test strategies and cases, execution of test cases and mentoring of peers.
 Identified, resolved and retained a large contract with Bell Canada by measuring the switching time on a non standard Platform.
 Delivered a special and very complex feature (IFS intra fault sectionlization) for Verizon USA under a very aggressive schedule.
