This is the first 3G mobile network in China Telecom comprising 250 outdoor BSs, 100 indoors BSs and 3 MSCs. As a core team member, I worked with Lucent and ZTE (WWW.ZTE.COM.CN) team. My role mostly focused on RF planning and optimization.
RF Planning: site planning/survey, running the coverage prediction for the sites, interference analysis, frequency planning, site integration by doing drive test analysis, antenna type & location selection for the sites, In-building solution planning.
RF Optimization: Delivered network optimization recommendations based on drive test analysis to mitigate pilot pollution. Delivered recommendations for parameter tuning, neighbor configuration and antenna azimuths/down tilts. Post optimization and network launch, responsible for daily performance monitoring including monitoring and troubleshooting high drop call rate, established call failure rate, call block rate, etc., .
