I am serving my skills in O & M (Operation & Maintenance -Radio) Department. on several Tasks for Zain Mobile Telecommunication, Kuwait. My tasks concern to Analyzing Radio 900/1800 GSM BSS (Nokia & Motorola) network performance (KPI’s / KQI’s) by using different tools, Alarms monitoring & troubleshooting, NE installation & maintenance, Support to Field Engineers, customer complaints handling, etc
Job Responsibilities
• Monitor the availability, performance on Air Interface of the 2G/2.5G & 2.75G Radio Access Network (RAN) and troubleshooting using OSS tools Nokia & Motorola.
• Perform main tasks such as Fault Management, Configuration Management, Performance Management, system administration and provide Support to field engineers while doing operations and maintenance activities for existing and expanding GSM infrastructure network.
• Alarm surveillance, alarm administration, analysis of Alarm & Event Logs for rectification of fault.
• Work experience in OSS Motorola (GSR6, GSR7 & GSR8) & OSS Nokia (NetAct 3.1 & 4.1) DX200 platform and MML session for BSS network elements Extensive experience of Radio network Management based tools - NMS2000 T12 for BSC, BTS integration, parameter change management.
• Creating Network Views using Nokia Network Editor, CM using CM Editor, CM Operation Manager ,
• Identification of Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s / KQI’s) for Network performance, using METRICA Reporter (MPM) for network stats & REMEDY system for Trouble Tickets.
• Analyzing network performance using tools such as Network Doctor Reporter, FM Reporter, KPI Builder ,KPI Browser , BCF Hardware reporter. Identifying proactive measures to ensure network performance during major events, and CAT, GLU, NHA in MOTOROLA.
• To look on the daily RADIO statistics to find out– CSR, Call Volume, DCR, HO Success/Fail, RF Losses, SDCCH/TCH congestions(inner/outer), Traffic Balancing.
• BCF Performance monitoring, network blockage, availability and abnormalities, network alarms, sorting clearing and BCF2000 parameters reviewing after commissioning.
• Hopping (HOC), Power control (POC), Quality and power budget handovers, neighbor optimization, congestion relief.
• Creating BTS site including LAPD, ET, TRUA Table using NMS 2000, MML command.
• Participated in the Integration and Activation of the BSS and NMS Network Elements, and verifying the alarm status to ensure a successful integration.
• Configuration Management etc. which includes Database creation, addition & deletion of OMCB entities e.g. TRX, ADJ Cell, TRAU, PCMA etc.
• Support field Engineers in BTS, BSC, PCU, TCSM and, Microwave problem. GPRS link utilization.Pb interface, Gb interface.
• Network configuration on vast level using RNW (Radio Network Manager), CM Editor & CM Operations Manager.
• Implementation of GPRS & EDGE in the BSS network (Nokia & Motorola) and modifying BSC & BTS Level Parameters to support EDGE Facility as & when required.
• Co-ordinate with BSS Eng. of Motorola & Nokia for fault rectification & NE Installtion.
• Sites creation and deletion upon request in OSS Motorola & Nokia
• Co-ordinate with Transmission Eng. for fault rectification in NEC, DMC, SDH & Siemens Microwave.
• Performing routine procedures on various network elements e.g. Routine savings, Audits, Upload of S/W, Database changes, Neighbour addition & deletion, and Modification of other network parameters (CR's).
• on Cell level, BSS level and Network Level Utilization of hardware and related problems etc.
• Executing the Batch files & Scripts in the BSC's on Request.
• User's Management & Security Polices on OSS Nokia & Motorola.
• Troubleshooting tasks with an understanding of their impact on the network.
• Provide support for network faults and capable of alarm troubleshooting and analysis provide recommendations to improve network performance and availability.
• Good knowledge of BSS parameters and their effect also hardware components such as BSC,PCU, RXCDR BTS,
• Good knowledge of Transmission ( 2Mbit PCM), GPRS, Switch, RNC (3G), Node B , etc.
• Real team player & able to work independently without supervision and to very tight deadlines.
• Good Understanding of SNMP Protocol, INMS Platform
