Charles Alvin Moyo, 9 Pretoria Close, Leicester, LE4 2NP. Dear Sir/Madam, I graduated from De Montfort University in Leicester with a Bachelor of Science, second-class Honours degree in electronics engineering and I am currently work working for UTL at their mobile phone repair centre in Nuneaton, in technical support as product champion for Nokia. As my curricular vitae will show, I studied full time for over three years. My studies at De Montfort University covered topics like Quality assurance, Designing for manufacture, Strength of materials, Microprocessor based systems, Control systems and instrumentation, Digital and Analogue electronics, Signal and Digital signal Processing, and Communication systems. My final year project was a report on the analysis of the frequency response of the second order Butterworth low pass filter with multiple feedback loops using ECAD tools (simulation) against the equivalent filter implementation in the laboratory using real components. I gained invaluable experience through this project as it involved discussions with members of the teaching support staff, working to specifications, tight deadlines, handling the completion of the project, and its final presentation. The position that you are advertising for is of particular interest to me because it’s in this kind of direction that my career path needs to go. As an electronics engineer, I am well equipped to retrain, adapt and to work and formulate simple but working systems to suit the goals and objectives of any business in my profession. I have got great enthusiasm for testing, faultfinding, debugging and design and I am always willing to work with and learn from engineers and technicians of all disciplines. This is why I will be able to quickly become an active and contributory member of your production team if given the chance to take on this role.
