I have 6 years of experience in RF Planning/Design/Capacity Planning/Optimization/Drive test/Post Processing/Performance Management. I have worked for various carriers & vendors in INDIA like NOKIA INDIA PVT. LTD., RELIANCE INFOCOMM LTD. & IDEA CELLULAR LTD. on NOKIA, LUCENT & ERICSSON systems respectively. I have adequate knowledge of GSM, GPRS, EDGE & CDMA technologies.

Familiar with UMTS, IEEE 802.11 and 802.16 standards for WiFi and WiMax radio access networks & terrestrial transmission protocols such as SONET/SDH.
PLANNING:
Radio Network Design, Planning, Dimensioning, Testing, Integration, Validation, Capacity planning, Coverage planning & Prediction, Frequency planning, Interference prediction using planning tools, Link budget analysis, CW Survey & analysis. Site surveys; verify site engineering drawings, Perform site build verification and acceptance. Preparing RF database (BTS, Cell, Handover control, Power control, Neighbor definitions, BA list, MA list etc.) & releasing search rings. Frequency Planning: BCCH / BSIC Planning & TCH planning, Hopping & Non hopping plan, Neighbor list planning. Perform propagation model tuning. Defining Radio parameters in BSC (RNC) & tuning their values for optimum performance. Perform system dimensioning tasks; including traffic analysis as required.
OPTIMIZATION:
Drive testing using various drive test tools, analyzing drive test reports with the help of post processing tools and detailed understanding of layer 3 messaging. Physical Optimization: Antenna re-orientation, relocation, down tilting. Radio Network statistics & performance monitoring, analysis, troubleshooting, benchmarking & tuning Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s like SDCCH/TCH drop, SDCCH/TCH blocking, HO failure, RxPower, TxPower, Ec/Io, FWFER etc.) monitoring, neighbor list modification, BTS parameter changes & solving radio network problems. In-building coverage solutions including design, survey, installation & commissioning.
OTHERS:
Co-ordination with government & regulatory personnel for coverage & service quality audits, AT (Acceptance Test) etc. Co-ordination for SACFA & WPC. Handling customer complaints including corporate accounts. Support project staffs in the field, including personnel from clients and contractors. Assess and procure RF planning databases; topography, morphology and demography. Assessment of RF planning tools, link budgets and design criteria. Assessment of different repeater equipments needed for indoor solutions. Train RF engineers as required.
