Project Description

This tool for optimizing the Motorola CDMA and EVDO networks. CDMA calls are voice calls and EVDO calls are data calls. This project consists of 16 features. I am supporting all the features testing in this project.

The inputs for this project are CDL call logs and MIBs (Management Information Base, is a database of networks). Using the MIBs we will plot the network in the graph. Using CDLs we will draw the subscribers in the graph (calls made related during the period). Using the layers user will get metrics related to a subscriber and network layers.

Centinel IDGP (Intelligent Design and Growth Planning) allows a user to plan, optimize or make adjustments to an existing network using live system data. Currently, network planning is performed on an ongoing basis to deploy rounds of network expansion in the short term and to predict future costs. Optimization is typically performed on live systems in the field where only small adjustments can be made to improve the performance of the system. The goal of IDGP is to add intelligence to the growth planning process by providing a solution for completing optimization and growth planning as apart of the same process using live system data.

Project Description
The air interface between the MS and FNE consists of RRC (Radio Resource Control) which is combination of three procedures named as RR, CM and MM.
1. RR (Radio Resource) management procedures include the functions related to the management of the common transmission resources, e.g., the physical channels and the data link connections on control channels.
The main function of the Mobility Management (MM) sub-layer is to support the mobility of user terminals, such as informing the network of its present location and providing user identity confidentiality

2. The call control (CC) protocol is one of the protocols of the Connection Management (CM) sub layer. Every mobile station must support the call control protocol

Project Participation :

• Testing for Call Flow messages
• (GSM) Radio Resource, Mobility Management, Call Control messages.
• Mobile originated call
• Mobile terminated call
• Location Updates
