SENIOR RF ENGINEER
Position Overview:
We are searching for an RF Design and Development Engineer. This person will be responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and verifying radio subsystem solutions for portable electronic devices.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate for this role will work within a small RF team to develop radio solutions for portable electronics applications. The development process will require specification, design, RF simulation, component and module integration, factory industrialization, and testing of the subsystem and system level solution. Activities will require coordination with other engineers (mechanical, digital, acoustic, antenna, software, etc.) in a team environment.
Additional Responsibilities Include:
• Participation in development of RF hardware for mobile phones using multiple standards
• RF Hardware solutions must meet demanding requirements of high volume consumer product including compact form factor, low cost, ease of manufacturing / assembly low power consumption, etc
• Evaluation of prototype samples to verify performance to specifications
• Some domestic / international travel required (approx 15% - 20%)
Education and Experience:
• BSEE required with minimum 3 years experience in RF design and development
• Desire and Ability to learn and work on fast-paced, team-oriented projects
• Ability to generate, analyze and interpret RF schematic diagrams and assist in CAD PCB layout
• Prefer design experience in Cellular/Wireless industry including design for GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS radio system (850/900/1700/1800/1900/2100 MHz) as well as Bluetooth (2400MHz), A-GPS (1600MHz), and other technologies is desired
• Experience with RF measurement instrumentation and techniques as well as familiarity with RF simulation tools such as ADS or Ansoft Designer/ HFSS
• Good written and verbal communication skills- Strong communication (written and verbal), coordination, organization, and reporting skills required
