Senior Commissioning/Integration Engineer required to work throughout the UK. Must have excellent installation and RF engineering skills with a good understanding of UMTS Node B transmitter and receiver testing, preferably with Siemens/NEC and Nortel experience. C&G 2391 electrical testing qualifications and some optical cabling knowledge would be a definite advantage. The ideal candidate would be excited by, and capable of taking on, a diverse and challenging role within an expanding company with a great customer satisfaction record.
Basic required skills
Advanced understanding of CDMA systems with experience designing, and optimizing large networks.
Good understanding of EVDO and/or UMTS systems with hands on experience deploying these technologies.
Proficiency in the use of RF tools and scripts.
Utilize your CDMA knowledge to effectively understand customer needs and adapt/configure clients’s SW solutions to most effectively meet customer objectives
Guide the customer through the clinet’s process, discuss major RF issues in the market with the customer
Collect and analyze customer performance data
Analyze before/after system performance and develop comparison reports
Configure client software within the customer environment
Review growth requirements with customer’s engineering staff
Must understand Methodology and theory of RAN planning and optimization
Optimize the network using client’s products and methodologies
Validate Drive Test data and predictions
Recommend actions to fix post implementation problems
Implement retunes using client’s recommendations
Support goals and objectives of client and customer management.
College: BSEE
Travel: 95% - worldwide locations

Experience
5+ years of RF performance/optimization engineering with wireless operators, or infrastructure providers, or consulting company, with at least 3 years of recent CDMA-specific experience. Some experience managing projects and people helpful.
Major Responsibilities:
Individual contributing member of a team-using client’s advanced wireless solutions within leading service providers throughout the world. Candidates should have extensive optimization experience with wideband technologies, an advanced knowledge and understanding of the network design and simulation tools, and be willing to travel extensively (approximately 95% worldwide).
