This position will lead the system integration effort for a new generation of broadband digital-RF receivers. This receiver will be built around ultrafast superconducting ICs in a cryogenic environment, but also requires sophisticated analog and digital interface electronics and computerized data acquisition and control, operating at room temperature. This project requires integration of low-noise broadband amplifiers, fast analog and digital design, data converters, fast DSP, signal demodulation, graphical user interface, custom software development, and complete documentation of system operation. Some experience with cryogenics and/or superconducting devices helpful but not essential. An MSEE and five years of experience or equivalent are required.
