Asia Pacific Carrier Certification Lead - Mobile Phone (Field Validation/Interoperability)
REPORTING TO: Head of Product Engineering, US
OBJECTIVES
• Responsible for Technical Approval of our products with Asia Pacific Cellular Carriers.
• Primary responsibility will be the co-ordination and support the Asia Pacific carrier certification engineering team’s efforts.
• Manage the field-testing and Radio IOT (interoperability testing) of new release and products
• Work with teams to assists in the investigation of issues reported by the carrier’s customers and field personnel.
REQUIREMENTS
• Must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Systems Engineering with at least 7+ years of relevant work experience
• Strong technical training relating to Hardware and Software testing
• Mature academic studies relating to leadership and managerial skills
• Led Technical Acceptance through to commercialization with various cellular carriers
• Team leadership and project management experience, supporting both internal and external collaborations along with positive customer relations
• Extensive knowledge of all key wireless communication technologies
• Mature Field and Interoperability testing experience of key wireless communication technologies
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, tailorable to situation and audience
• Ability to manage relationships across functional areas and with carrier teams at the operational/professional level
• Proven issue management skills, with the ability to prioritize, analyze and interpret associated risk
• Understanding of the Asia Pacific Regulatory approvals
• Able to travel internationally
• Familiarity with WiFi, BT, GPS and other wireless technologies
• Ability to recommend strategy/methodologies on teams assignments drawing from past experiences
• Experience of motivating, mentoring and supervising teams on specific projects, technologies and process adherence
