Job Description:
§ Lead a team of engineers involved in testing of software features on cat6500 product
§ Ability to interface with product marketing and customer/field teams
§ Excellent verbal/written communication skills
§ Ability to work with cross functional, cross cultural teams
§ Continuous improvement of process, productivity and quality of software releases
§ Ability to provide technical leadership at the cross-functional level
§ Manage projects of moderate to complex scope
§ Lead team to commit projects with balanced content, aggressive schedules and delivery within scope of 90% commit dates and within budget.
§ Partner with Marketing and other Engineering groups to follow GEM process.
§ Support the aggressive resolution of CAP account issues related to area.
§ Attract and retain top 10% in the industry.
§ Establish and communicate common performance standards and consistently compare performance against these standards. Provide feedback with targeted developmental suggestions to empower others to improve. Provide ongoing feedback, coaching and reinforcement. Aggressively help poor performers to improve.
§ Coach and mentor team members to constantly strive to reach new levels of performance.
§ Arrange and develop on the job experience, appropriate assignments, formal training & other experiences to foster individual learning & development, and to support individual’s career path.
§ Mentors coaches and encourages growth in potential management candidates with existing management and Engineering team.
§ Develops and maintains cross functional relationships that encourages a positive working relationship between teams.
§ Ensures team adheres to customer requirements during all phases of project work; keep team focused on those products & services that are most important to the customer.
§ Utilizes technical expertise in own functional area to provide guidance when needed
§ Continuously communicates direction & focus of Cisco and ISBU with team. Helps team members understand how their role impacts Cisco.

Strong foundation in networking, with prior experience in development test of one or more of the following areas:
Skills:
Layer 2 , IPv4/v6, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, PIM
MPLS based L3 VPN and QoS(TE), ATM, Frame Relay, HDLC, SONET, SDH, POS, IPoDWDM, L2 VPN: (AToM, VPLS, VPWS) and QoS(TE)
Ethernet: GE, 802.1q VLANs, 802.1ad (QinQ), ACL, QoS, Multicast
Exp: 10 - 15 Yrs
