The candidate who joins the team will be immersed in Voice-over-IP and a host of related technologies. In addition, your development skills will be tested as you will immediately begin contributing to our development platform product and ongoing programs.
Responsibilities:
This position is for a Manager of Software Development. Looking for candidates that have a passion for delivering high quality software and shows a complete sense of ownership for delivery of the product. The manager will be responsible for
* Building a high quality development team.
* Assimilating and comprehending the technical details of projects in development in order to better plan their implementation and delivery.
* Development of software components for the Cisco Unified Application Environment as well as the development of automated unit and functional tests for the platform.
* Establishing processes and best practises that increase the effectiveness of the team.
* Managing delivery of SW releases, including coordinating with other departments, and participating in project scheduling (from conception to testing).
* Guiding and mentoring developers
Required Skills:
* 3+ years in a management position (leading teams, defining schedules, proven release track record).
* Java or C# programming experience
* Administrator level competence with both Linux and Microsoft
Windows operating systems
* Strong comprehension of core computer science concepts (algorithms, object oriented design, parsing, etc)
* A capacity and willingness to learn new technologies
* Capable of communicating effectively both verbally and in writing
* A passion for building software and having fun while you do it
* A willingness to participate in an agile development process, attend
daily stand up meetings, and work constructively with other team
members with a positive attitude.
