QCT\'s software applications engineers support customers with understanding, integrating, testing and optimising performance of software features for ASICs supporting a variety of air interfaces and other related technologies including multimedia.
Skills/Experience It is a very challenging position requiring the candidate to learn and internalise QCT software and operation concepts very quickly, supporting a wide range of software discussion (e.g. ranging from low level embedded software issues to carrier level features deployment and planning). It exposes the candidate to the key players in the wireless industry worldwide and places him or her right in the heart of the dynamism of 3G wireless deployment. QUALCOMM is seeking the best candidates available worldwide for this technical support position.
* The role will involve working as part of a team that will be providing support to QCT customers and operators for technology trials, troubleshooting issues, lab/field-testing at multiple locations around Europe.
* The field-testing of embedded software to support Qualcomm\'s W-CDMA and GSM/GPRS chipset developments.
* Problem investigation (e.g. log analysis) to establish the root cause of problems found in the field
* Providing timely & concise updates to extended teams via regular e-mail & teleconference as appropriate
* Become conversant with the technical specifications to which Qualcomm products conform.
* Technical interface with customers and operators.
