We currently have a 6 months Contract to hire opportunity for a VoIP Software Developer with our direct telecom client located in Sterling, VA. This position starts immediately!!
Job Description:
• Looking for a candidate with strong technical skills to develop VOIP related provisioning systems.
• Responsible for working with the Software Engineering manager, Business Development group, and end Customers to help develop applications and infrastructure for VOIP Programs.
• Must have experience designing and building enterprise class provisioning systems and some understanding of the telecom domain.
• Must be able to look at the “big picture” and have a forward-looking attitude with vision to develop new, innovative services using new and evolving technologies.
Required skills:
• 5+ years experience developing complex software systems
• Expertise in JAVA, J2EE, Oracle, OO Methodology, SOAP/WSDL
• Knowledgeable of protocols such as SIP, ENUM, TLS, etc is preferred.
• Complete development life cycle experience from design through implementation.
• Creative, flexible, and able to fill multiple functions with development teams
• Proven track record of successfully designing and developing enterprise class systems with stringent availability, performance and SLA requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in telecommunications or data networking
• UNIX or Linux expertise preferred
• Knowledge of database concepts preferred
• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field
