Job Description
Client is looking for a Firefox developer to join our growing team! This is a terrific opportunity to participate in the development of a Mozilla/Firefox based application platform to deliver rich media web services to Client users worldwide.
Job Responsibilities
· Extending, customizing and adapting Firefox modules for the Client services
· Client application design and implementation
· Selection and integration of open source components and libraries, third party tool selection for rapid application development
· Utilize and evangelize best of breed software development techniques including design patterns, re-usable and modular development
Required Skills
· Demonstrated track record of developing, shipping and supporting critical and complex windows based application/services through multiple releases and versions
· Demonstrated and consistent track record as a significant contributor through the development career
· Focused experience developing complex applications for desktop or server side applications.
· Ability to quickly master new technologies and push the envelope for performance and reliability
· Defensive coding ability accompanied with strong analytical and creative problem solving skills
· In-depth debugging skills; ability to reach out and use team strengths to solve problems
· Ability to work in small collaborative teams and have a good sense of humor.
Required Qualifications
· At least 3-5 years experience of object oriented application development in C++ on Windows
· Demonstrable use and understanding of Mozilla framework and contributor to the Firefox community
· Strong understanding of Windows Internals, interactive application development paradigms, application frameworks, memory management, network & socket programming, concurrency and multi-threading
· BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant discipline and experience
