My client is a world-leading provider of telecommunications equipment and related services to mobile and fixed network operators globally.
They are looking for a Network Monitoring Engineer / Network Performance Engineer who has experience of working on an Ericsson core network
You will be expected to have:
• In depth technical knowledge of Ericsson 2G / 3G suite of products - Core / RAN network elements:- 2G and 3G MSCs, MGW, RNCs, BSCs TRXs.-Essential
• Experience of producing analytical reports with recommendations for improvement.-Essential
• Experience of working in an Operational environment, ideally in the mobile industry.-Essential
• Experience in producing and presenting detailed reports at a management level.-Essential
• Experience of working directly with customers-Essential
• Working knowledge of system interfaces such as MYCOM, OSS, Remedy, Business Objects and Citrix-Desirable
• Working knowledge of process improvement principals -Desirable
• Experience of working on high profile projects with demanding milestone targets.-Essential
Key Objectives…
• To produce and ensure the quality of performance reports, against contractual SLAs.
• To proactively monitor agreed KPIs, carrying out root cause analysis whenever degradation in performance is identified.
• To co-ordinate any corrective / improvement programmes that are identified as a result of investigations / recommendations carried out by both the Customer and the Assurance team.
• To work closely with the customer in order to understand their needs and provide support to the customer as and when required.
• To provide on demand analysis on network performance
Responsibilities
• Produce detailed network performance reports as required within the contract
• Proactively monitor network performance.
• Produce Network performance improvement initiatives and communicate the progress of these initiatives to internal and customer stakeholders
• Provide on-demand Network Performance analysis and reports
• Develop and maintain a professional working relationship the customer
