My client is a world-leading provider of telecommunications equipment and related services to mobile and fixed network operators globally.
They need a Mobile Core Network Tester to manage the day to day interfaces and activities of all parties involved or affected by project testing tasks. With a particular emphasis is on mobile network delivery.
Main activities are to:
• Own, develop and communicate End-to-End Test Strategy.
• Own, develop and communicate low level test plans and timescales.
• Review and approve testing documents created by test or implementation resources prior to customer release.
• Participate in relevant Customer Meetings to communicate test plans, timescales and test findings as appropriate.
• Manage and document project test and supporting implementation activities and resources required to facilitate successful execution of test plans.
• Identify, research and document issues found and raise project CSRs to the Implementation Manager.
• Attend relevant Go/No-Go meetings for Live deployments to contribute testing findings.
• Manage requests and baselining of software/hardware test environments.
• Interface with the customer to apply for and arrange all access permits to buildings
• Interface with the customer to obtain any logins and passwords required to use during the tasks in the customer test environment.
• Interface with the customer to arrange for customer and third party staff be available as required to deliver each individual task.
Required competence
• A proven track record in delivery.
• ISEB Practitioner Certified - Ideal but not essential
• Core network project experience - ESSENTIAL
• Strong understanding of how Customer Operational Change Procedures need to be followed in test environment - ESSENTIAL
• Strong experience in developing test plans and acceptance criteria based on agreed scope and requirements documentation
• Candidates must be customer facing. Have the ability to present and interact with the client.
• Organising activities for typically 5-10 test resources
• Experience in raising, tracking and escalation of found solution issues through Customer and fault tracking and remediation processes
• Strong technical documentation skills
• Radio network experience - desirable
• OSS experience – desirable
• Understanding of Test Director or similar Test Management tools as well as Industry standard testing tools an advantage.
