Our client, a leading Telco located in West Africa, require a Senior GSM Optimization Engineer to join its existing team on a 6 month contract. With the possibility of an extension. The ideal candidate must possess a proven track record. The key responsibilities of this role are as follows:
1. Maintaining KPI\'s (Key Performance Indicators) of the network.
2. Capacity/Coverage Cell Planning using ASSET3G.
3. Frequency Planning - BCCH Planning, Hopping planning (1*1 / 1*3).
4. Interference analysis.
5. Analysis of Drive test Log files through MapInfo, Neptune for
Radio network optimization.
6. Network Optimization by recommending physical Changes in Tilt,
Orientation and type of antennas.
7. Optimization of neighboring sites during integration of new sites.
8. Database parameters and Neighbor audit of the sites on regular interval.
9. Performance and statistics analysis with the help of OTS and SPOTS.
10. Exploration and implementation of the features of Siemens BSS BR
8.0 SW release, specially Dual Band network configuration,
Underlay-overlay feature and Dynamic MAIO Allocation.
11. Maintaining Data (GPRS) KPI\'s.
12. AMR implementation.
13. Actively involved in the 3G trials come workshop with Siemens.
14. Team Management.
