The professional must have compentence with Ericsson and marconi´s DWDM, SDH, PDH and MUX equipment. The reource must be able to set these equipment through management systems, like MV36/38 and Mini-link Mmanager. Some activities that will be performed:
- Set up management routines
- Planning of work for back and front office
- Perform periodical back-up routines
- Prepare and implement configuration data changes for end user activation and restoration
- Collect and analyse performance data and ensure that appropriate short-term measures to secure performance
- Provide performance reporting
- Perform sofware updates activities;
- Reactive Maintenance tasks:
• Acknowledge alarms
• Determine alarm severity
• Determine source of alarm
• Perform diagnostics
• Attempt equipment recovery procedures
• Determine and coordinate group involvement
• Escalate complex problems to vendor’s help-desk
• Coordinate support actions of vendor’s support staff
• Follow-up CSR progress and completion
• Coordinate replacement of faulty hardware
• Assist with statistical report analysis
• Assist with parameter configuration changes
• Coordinate software updates implementation and changes
• Event logging
• Database with reliable records |
