Overview/Duties:
Responsible for defining and planning the project, then managing its execution, risk, issues, scope and communication according to those initiation plans. The Project Manager typically has 100% responsibility for all PMBOK knowledge areas.
Managing project resources scheduling and assigning tasks to many team members; Project monitoring and control; Project budgeting and variance reviews and recommendations for cost control; Clearly define risk mitigation plans and carrying them out effectively to customer\'s satisfaction; Scheduling training / re-training where needed to ensure quality of work carried out per Huawei requirements; Deliver projects on time, within budget and to customer satisfaction.
The Project Manager usually has shared responsibility for people management - along with the functional managers.
Manage and motivate sub-contractors and internal technical resources.
Cost estimating, resource challenges, issue identification and problem resolution are daily expectations.
Must be able to take multiple tasks and issues and find and communicate solutions to team members, both in technical and support roles.
Requirements:
10+ years proven telecommunications Field Project Management experience, with a minimum of 5 years’ project management experience in GSM, CDMA, or UMTS Telecom Wireless industry.
Experienced in MS Project and process management methodologies.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Excellent people and customer management abilities. These include leadership, motivating, communicating effectively, listening, providing performance feedback and coaching.
Internationally recognized professional Project Management certification, such as PMP, is desirable.
Excellent English, excel and word skills.
Travel required.
