Technical Solutions Specialist – Network Data
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Configure and manage Layer 2, Layer 3, and Layer 4 network devices in a LAN/WAN environment.
· Manage, plan, coordinate, install and maintain LAN/WANs and related computer hardware and software including Frame Relay, ISDN, xDSL, ATM, SNMP, PPPoE.
· Design and implement network architectures, including the identification and resolution of hardware and software technical problems and malfunctions related to LANs/WANs and related systems.
· Create trend analysis reports and network topology diagrams.
· Provide network provisioning, acquisition, installation, monitoring and consultation for customers, clients and consultants.
· Define and implement network monitoring and associated processes such as, the establishment and ongoing quality review of network performance, event monitors, thresholds, responses, and notifications.
· Build scalable networks - OSPF, BGP, CIDR, route summarization and redistribution.
· Configure Cisco access servers - AAA, PAP, CHAP, PPP. Scale remote access networks with IP NAT.
· Manage redundancy, network traffic, performance tuning, benchmarks and scalability.
Serving as the main point of contact for Network Data your role will require the following criteria:
· Degree/Diploma in Computer Science or equivalent experience
· Certified with a CCNP
· A good understanding of BGP, OSPF, MPLS, PPPoE, and LNS
· Familiarity with DMZ and VPN networks
· Strong organizational and planning skills, capable of managing several complex tasks at a time
· Proficient in Word, Excel, Visio
· Must be able to work well under pressure and within time constraints
· Must be willing to work overtime and nonstandard hours as needed
· Excellent oral, written communication and customer service skills
