Position Title: Operator Approval Verification Engineer
Location: RTP (Research Triangle Park), Raleigh, NC
Department: Mobile Computing
Position Overview:
The Operator Approval Verification Engineer is responsible for guiding operators through the technical acceptance phase of new Product launches as well as follow on maintenance releases.
Day-to-Day Experience:
•Provide support to network operator approvals in the Americas.
•Provide the main technical interface with Network Operators.
•Familiar with AT&T lab entry and operator approval process.
•Distribute samples and technical documentation to Network Operators.
•Provide technical support during Network Operator testing: answer technical queries, analyze log files, respond to fault reports, enter problems in reporting database, attend test lab sessions and take logs, provide SW updates and release notes.
•Perform verification and drive testing on products to identify any problems. Produce test reports and problem reports.
Additional Responsibilities Include:
•Experience in GSM system operation and specifications.
•Experience in technical customer support and dealing directly with customers.
•Test Specification and Test case development experience desired
•Highly developed understanding of PC operation, SW applications and operating systems, especially MS Windows
•Good overall IT skills i.e. IP/Network troubleshooting and PC/Laptop troubleshooting.
•Proven analytical and problem solving skills.
•Ability to work accurately, to specified deadlines.
•Oral and written proficiency.
•Highly self motivated.
•Fluency in Spanish a plus.
To Qualify for This Role, You Must Have:
•BSEE, BSCE, BSCS degree required
•5+ years experience
•Travel required
