Business Unit: Afghan Wireless Communication Company, Kabul, Afghanistan
Subordinates: BSS Engineers
Position Responsibilities:
Responsible for all BSS O&M activities for the Siemens GSM Network. Responsible for Dimensioing, Planning and Optimisation of the Core GSM Network. Responsible for all Site activities. Integration of BTS Cell Sites. Coordinating with Siemens Engineers for various technical issues.
Qualifications / Experience required:
• Minimum +5 years experience in GSM BSS and atleast 2 years should be with Siemens Equipment.
• Knowledge of (GSM, GPRS, EDGE and / or UMTS) Core and field Network Dimensioing.
• Experienced in coordinating the various BSS issues with Vendors
• Experienced in Fault Management and Downtime Control
• Familiar with Siemens products
Skills and Performance Dimensions / Education:
• Strong GSM, computer and Management skills.
• Strong communication, learning, teamworking and problem solving skills.
• Postgraduate or a graduate degree in Electronics/ RadioCommunication/.
Other Skills:
• Enjoys pressure and accustomed to working to targets
• Strong ability to develop and motivate others.
• Strong Customer relations
• Communicates comfortably and effectively at all levels.
As complement to the required skills the candidate must be available for a very challenging mission that will require relevant efforts and commitment in order to reach the company goals in Afghanistan. The candidate must be able to work independently and organize the BSS department of the company. He has to follow up strongly with the Siemens on various technical issues.
