Business Unit: Afghan Wireless Communication Company, Kabul, Afghanistan
Subordinates: RF Engineers
Position Responsibilities:
To perform Network Planning management, RF(GSM, GPRS, Edge and/or UMTS) planning, trouble-shooting, RF systems design, analysis of statistics and Optimisation of GSM network. Should be familiar with Siemens GSM products. The candidate will need to work effectively with multi-disciplinary, multi-site teams as well as field support.
Qualifications / Experience required:
• Minimum +5 years experience in systems and RF design.
• Knowledge of (GSM) Wireless communications systems, both theory and practice.
• Experienced in GSM RF planning and Optimisation (GSM. GPRS, EDGE and /or UMTS)
• Experienced in Optimisation and Drive Test result evaluation
• Familiar with Siemens products and knowledge of Detailed parameter planning for Siemens GSM equipment
Skills and Performance Dimensions / Education:
• Strong computer skills, simulation experience on Wizard, Tems. MapInfo, and Actix
• Strong communication, learning, teamworking and problem solving skills.
• Postgraduate or graduate degree in electrical/electronics/radio engineering.
Other Skills:
• Enjoys pressure and accustomed to working to targets
• Strong ability to develop and motivate others.
• Strong Customer relations
• Communicates comfortably and effectively at all levels.
As complement to the required skills the candidate must be available for a very challenging mission that will require relevant efforts and commitment in order to reach the company goals in Afghanistan. The candidate must be able to work independently and organize the RF department of the company.
