This is an excellent opportunity to join AZAD's team of professionals and be responsible for contributing to the development of new wireless protocols and technologies for future wireless systems.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Strong research background in wireless networking, with emphasis on protocols.
- Solid understanding of MAC protocols, TCP/IP, QoS and cross layer design.
- Ability to synthesize new patentable concepts.
- Motivated, flexible, self starter with excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Masters (PhD preferred) in a related field, with outstanding R&D credentials.
- Familiarity/experience of one or more of the following is desirable; HSDPA, HUSPA, OFDM, MIMO, coding and simulation experience using NS2 and C++, 3GPP standards and activities, WLAN, WiMax, wireless extensions to NS2 such as EURANE, cognitive radio systems and SDR.
Responsibilities for this project include:
- Ability to critique proposed standards submissions for technical merit.
- Simulate development for verification and optimization of designs.
- Prepare materials to support contributions to standards bodies such as 3GPP.
- Develop high-value intellectual property and patent applications.
