PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Network Engineer Intern January - April 2010
(DRDO, Ministry of Defense, INDIA)
Analyzed the network requirements, configuration and protocols of CISCO TELEPRESENCE Network CTS-3000 System.
Compared the system with existing video conferencing and applications of it in near future on a campus sprawling over 2100 acres.
Summer Engineering Intern May - July 2009
(Embedded School of Research & Development, INDIA)
Developed a project which will improve the traffic signal flow by overcoming the inefficiency of conventional traffic controllers.
Devised an intelligent embedded real time system by varying the green light time signal depending on the traffic load density on a given four lane junction using PIC 16F877A Microcontroller.
RF Engineering Co-op August 2008 December 2009
(SHARP VISION, INDIA)
I had an opportunity to study about the RF Broadband area, where I reviewed different kind of RF cables (Hybrid fiber-coaxial, trunk cable), RF passive devices (splitters, couplers) and amplifiers.
Screen s-parameters for RF passive devices and RF amplifiers manually on network analyzer and compute their return loss, insertion loss, and isolation.
Prepared the internal team member report on the splitters and amplifiers which included calculations of s-parameter, s-parameter graphs, and evaluate their performance.
Learning through the designs process of RF circuits through simulation to hand build physical prototype.
Developed an automation test software for RF passive devices using Agilent Vee Pro 6
The calibration test for the network analyzer was carried out. Ideal RF passive device was tested and results were verified using Vee Pro.
Check the s-parameters of the RF passive device and calculate their return loss, insertion loss, and isolation and display the results on the panel.
Store the results temporarily in notepad using C++ and then store overall results in SQL database.
ACADEMIC EXPERIENCE
Graduate Research Assistant May - December 2011
Algorithms, Models, and Systems Laboratory (AMSL)
University of North Carolina at Charlotte, NC
Implemented the Source-Destination topology using the USRP N200 devices on GNU Radio platform.
Worked on how to select a single best relay with the objective of decreasing the outage probability and the energy consumption in the wireless networks.
Cooperative Relaying to Enhance Medical Connectivity during patient monitoring.CBES 3rd Annual Graduate Student poster presentation competition 2011. (POSTER PRESENTATION)
Graduate Teaching Assistant January 2012 Present
University of North Carolina at Charlotte, NC
Evaluating and Grading examinations, assignments for an undergraduate course - Data Communication and Networking I.
Assisting faculty member in the advising and administrative duties necessary for the course.
