Working History

6/09 to Present I am working for The Go To Group, Inc. as the Sales Director. My first duties were to establish a wholly owned subsidiary in Tokyo, (Go2Group Japan K.K.) During this phase, I was the acting President and had full responsibility for the new office. In 2011, I was assigned duties in the US office and have been building the synergy between the two offices, as well as offshore development teams located in China, India, and USA. Go2Group is a small private company focusing on JAVA based developer tools, applications and Agile SDLC best practices.

3/07 to 5/09 I was working for Ericsson Japan K.K. as a Senior Program Manager based in Yokohama, Japan. I was responsible for all capacity expansion projects in the Tokyo area for SoftBank Mobile. I worked directly with SoftBank managers in planning, scheduling, and deploying new cell sites, RF channels, and antennas. This included 3rd party vendor management of Ericsson and SoftBank local vendors. I had P&L responsibility for these projects, which totaled roughly US10M annually.

10/05 to 2/07 I was working for PacketVideo Japan K.K. as a Senior Technical Program Manager based in Tokyo. PacketVideo provided an embedded software solution for DRM enabled video/audio decoding and rendering on DoCoMo mobile phones. I was responsible for our development, testing, integration and porting towards Sharp and Fujitsu, customer relations, project staffing, schedule, coordination meetings, and overall successful product launches. In my role, I was heavily involved in all phases of software development and testing of our product.

5/01 to 2/05 I was working for 3Com Japan K.K. as the Regional Engineering Manager (Japan). As the CPS Director, I was responsible for a staff of 9 engineers. We provided development and system integration and test support for the 3G HSPD feature for CDMA networks here in Japan. This was an embedded solution riding on a standard 3Com TC1000 chassis. I am responsible for two remote test labs, customer/vendor interface, and development/test schedule coordination. I am very relaxed in multicultural environments and my people and team building skills are unmatched. I worked in a matrix reporting structure with P&L responsibility for annual contracts totaling roughly US$5M.

12/99 to 5/01 I was the Regional Manager for the Systems Integration and Test Group of Invisix Asia Pacific Ltd. Invisix is a joint venture company created from a strategic alliance between Motorola Inc. and Cisco Systems. I was responsible for all development and systems integration projects, being performed by our staff in various countries around the Asia Pacific region. All development projects are related to 2.5/3G GPRS/GSM and HSPD/CDMA wireless technologies. I directly manage a staff of 12 engineers based in Tokyo, and 22 engineers based in Manila. Our services also included end-to-end network design, integration, and testing for wireless carriers. We also performed wireless applications integration. As part of my job function, I also attended pre-sales technical meetings, wrote technical proposals, and performed resource planning, managed third party vendors, and performed risk analysis.

3/98 to 11/99 I worked for Nippon Iridium Corporation, a member of the KDDI Group. I was the Network Operations and Engineering Manager for the Iridium Gateway switch complex located in Nagano Prefecture, Japan. I was directly responsible for a staff of 17 engineers and the day-to-day 7x24 operations of the network. This facility included the Iridium Gateway Control Center three remotely located Satellite Earth Terminals, and two test labs.

9/95 to 2/98 I worked for the Motorola Satellite Communications Group, based out of Chandler, AZ. I was the engineering team lead for the Gateway Integration and Test Team of the Gateway Development Group. We were responsible for developing the first Iridium Gateway Test Laboratory, by installing, integrating and testing of all hardware/software related to the network components, which comprised an Iridium Gateway. I was transferred back to Japan in January 1997, to manage the installation integration and testing for the Iridium Gateways located in Japan and Korea.

10/90 to 8/95 I worked for Motorola Japan Ltd., based out of Osaka, Japan. I was the supervisor of the Technical Support Group within the Cellular Infrastructure Division of Motorola. My group was responsible for all technical issues related to our customers cellular networks located throughout Japan. We were deeply involved in the design and development of the PDC digital cellular infrastructure for our customers here in Japan.

9/88 to 9/90 I worked for Litton Data Command Systems in Dahran, Saudi Arabia. I was a team lead for the execution of country wide acceptance test trials, for a nationwide air defense and command and control (C3) system for the Royal Saudi Air Defense Forces. We were responsible for the entire systems final integration/debugging, and customer acceptance testing. There were various types of radio communications and security equipment deployed throughout the country.
