3G Optimization (A.P) July 2008 to August 2010

Job Responsibility

Analysis of network performance, identification of problems and providing suitable solutions to performance abnormalities.
Monitoring 3G KPI by means of RRC connection setup rate, RRC Setup success rate for Speech, Video, PS and HSPA, CS AMR, CS 64, PS and HSDPA dropped rate.
Responsible for defining baseline RNC parameters, defining network performance monitoring KPI using Huawei RNC statistics.
Drive test for 3G network and analyzing the report.
KPI Analysis on network/RNC level and give recommendations to change parameter for the improvement of network.
Daily KPI monitoring for 4 RNCs and Report if any KPIs are abnormal.
Worst Cluster Analysis and give recommendation to Improve KPI.
Network level Parameter tuning and Removal of discrepancies of parameters to Improve network KPIs
KPI monitoring and improvement for HSPA and HSPA+ 42Mbps.
Coordinated with DT teams and Customer in getting 3G RF AT Signed.
Perform initial RF tuning and optimization based on drive test result, such as antenna tilt adjustment, antenna reorientation etc. to improve RF coverage, eliminate pilot pollution, detect missing neighbor and compare before/after drive test measurement to verify the effectiveness of adjustments
Performing interference analysis. Distinguishing internal and external interference. Resolving internal interference by hardware checking, frequency optimization (replacing frequency, frequency hopping, power control, etc), site survey. Resolving outside interference by locating interference source.
Verify network performance factors like locations, antenna heights, azimuths, antenna tilts, interference, pilot pollution etc.
RF Drive Test & Optimization of network using Genex Probe & TEMS Assistant.
Conducted drive test in Network using Genex Probe & Tems tool for coverage issues and future expansion. .
Analyze traffic measurement from the BSC/RNC and/or MSC and provide high- quality, cost effective and practical solutions for improvements.
Optimising cell sites by investigating capacity and coverage problem, Interference Analysis, Layer 3 analysis, Dropped calls, Missing Neighbours, Non-Working sites or sectors.
Communicate with customer on optimization progress and present to customer about the cluster acceptance result, providing analysis for both the whole network/cluster and individual abnormal event.
Act as technical support toward customer engineers in national technical deployment department by providing necessary explanation and technical answers on queries both in e-mail and in face-to-face communication.
Analyzing and Post Processing of Log Files.
Report generation according to the requirement in Word, Excel & Power point.

Monitoring Key Performance Identification (KPI) of 2G by means of SDCCH/TCH drop calls, call set up success rate, handover success rate and congestion rate, and conducting Final acceptance Report by means of statistics and drive test measurements. Compile sites in BSC for any locked hardware and TRX related disabilities. Top Handover Fails, SDCCH traffic deltas and TCH blocking cells.
Leading a team of 6 members, assigned the job of optimizing cellular GSM network in given circle.
Responsible for proposing In Fill sites based on congestion and coverage.
Responsible for Preparing Monthly Rollout plan & GIS for upcoming sites.
Analyze the drive test data and identifies problem areas with recommended solutions.
Radio Network Optimization using Drive Test Tool TEMS Investigation GSM 6.0, post processing with TEMS route analyzer 6.0.
Perform antenna audit to assure the correct setup based on the RF design. Recommend and implement changes in various network parameters, antenna configurations, etc.
Collect performance metrics and generate plots to highlight performance improvements.
Keep an up to date documentation of optimization related actions, also maintain archives of all collected data for future reference perform the Optimization System Performance Support Troubleshoot areas with poor RF performance. Request drive tests, analyze data, and recommend network changes.
Drive Test Data analyzing then Optimizing parameters like C/I, C/A, Coverage, Call Handover, Call Drop & Rx Quality, SQI and Network Performance analyze.
Drive Data Analyzing then Optimizing activities include change of frequency, change of power, Re-orientations, mechanical tilt, electrical tilt, and height changes.
Report generation according to the requirement in Word, Excel & Power point.
