1. ASR (Access Service Request) Provisioning involves Ordering, cancellation and modification of Circuit to Telecom service Providers or inter Carriers as well as Order Management. Currently handling all types of Bandwidth like DS0, DS1 & DS3, Optical (OC3, OC12, OC48 & OC192), Ethernet (FE, GE).
2. LSR (Local Service Request) Provisioning involves activities like Number Portability, Loop Installation, Cancellation and Conversion etc.. as well as Order Management.
3. Metasolv (TBS) TBS is an user friendly application which allows the provisioner to issue orders to TP and manage them efficiently
4. XO Gate gateway Gateway is a tool, which enables our company to communicate with our internal systems and external entities regardless of the protocol. This simplifies and expedites transactions with the companies our organization does business with. It involves Transaction Management, Interface Management, and Report Management & Notification Management.
Roles and Responsibilities
Analyzing the order request received from the client basing on the parameters such as the request type, corresponding bandwidth framing and signaling, info required for expedites etc.
Pre order validation includes the validation of CFA (Customer Facility Assignment) and Customer Address using our Validation tool in WEB VFO (virtual front office), which is interconnected to LECs (Local Exchange Carriers) system through our Exchange Path.
Place orders on carriers and track them and coordinating between Sales, Circuit design, Ordering and Network activations team.
Attending to the clarifications (if any) posted by the LEC. In this course, we call LEC and resolve the clarifications or sup the order to make necessary changes.
Follow up and escalate to get the FOC (Firm Order Commitment) from the LEC and ensure the circuit delivered to the customer within the desired due date.
Maintaining constant communication with the client (such as XO communications, Global Crossing, Verizon & AT&T) while following the above mentioned steps.
Application monitoring involves
Monitoring Exchange Path at specific intervals for orders which have failed to go out or LEC responses which have failed to make into to our Gateway and retransmit them and ensuring that the order/responses reaches their destination in time.
Monitoring the status of Gateway interfaces, TBS and ticketing system at specific intervals and opening a ticket with Application Support if any issues are identified.
2 ) Project XO Communications ( DS1 NETWORK TESTER )
Currently handling remote testing in DS1 lines where we need to verify the circuits before delivering to the customer. Working on DS1 circuit testing and maintenance. DS1 test patterns are predetermined, repeating one and zero bit sequences that are translated into pulses according to the line coding rules for AMI and B8ZS. Checking the design page to use correct information for testing.
Trouble shooting with provider if getting trouble with circuit. Monitoring the application, Rx signal monitoring, Intrusive testing application.

Roles and Responsibilities
Verify the orders received from the client based on bandwidth (DS0, DS1 and DS3) used for the installation of the circuits.
Check the completion of the order in Vipta (a web based application used to receive completions), in order to start the testing.
If there is no completion contact LEC for the updates on completion and escalate the order if necessary.
Once the completion is received test the circuits using the DACS and PORT from Design Page of that ckt.
If the ports are in service, test the order and try to loop up the Smart Jacks (RJ48C, RJ 48X etc) using the testing tools such as Net Analyst and Net Test.
If the jack gets looped up test the circuit for 30mins and complete the order.
If you are unable to loop up the SJ open a Trouble Ticket with LEC and Troubleshoot with their Central office tech.
If the problem is not resolved even after troubleshooting with LEC open a WFM (Work Force Management ) ticket to dispatch XO tech to the XO Central Office to check the wiring and troubleshoot with tech. (if required).
Even if you are unable to loop up the SJ set up a Vendor meet (A meet where LEC CO tech & XO CO tech troubleshoot with each other and come to a conclusion.
We should make sure that the circuits are installed and tested before the Due Date.
