Duties & Responsibilities
Accredited Drive Tester of Globe Telecom
Responsible for site auditing/surveying Globe Telecom BTS cell sites across the Philippines (Nokia and Ericsson), Compare the actual details acquired from the planned (RNE) details/, namely BTS sector orientation, tilting, label, antenna height, feeder length, BTS equipment type (Nokia / Ericsson), coordinates reading, address location, the BTS tower, site, cabin, & its RF equipment.
Taking pictures of the site, tower, cabin, equipment, power supplies, sector lobes, 0o to 360o coverage area of the site with intervals of 30o, actual coordinates in the GPS.
Rectify the BTS sectors if there is a discrepancy between the actual orientation & the RNE orientation. But also consider if the actual orientation is really catering a populated area, or is obstructed.
Checking swapped feeder & confirming it by drive test.
Drive tests the GSM 900/1800 signal of the site using Agilent/Nitro Drive Test Tool by Idle Mode (signal coverage) of each sector & dedicated mode (call quality) successful call attempts vs. total call attempts, handover success & failures, blocked calls, dropped calls.
Report to the RNO any discrepancy encountered during site audit/drive test and recommends changes that should be made.
Make computerized reports out of the gathered datas during site audit & drive test using MS Excel and PowerPoint Presentation.
