Engineer (GET) (SDH Optical, DWDM) from June 2009 till date.
Reliance Communication is offering a complete range of telecom services, covering mobile and fixed line telephony including broadband, national and international long distance services, data services and a wide range of value added services and applications. Its network consists of the latest switching, transmission and access technologies. The core of the network consists of fiber deployed throughout the country. Deployed over the fiber media are the DWDM and SDH transmission technologies in ring topology to provide high bandwidth capacity and strong backbone.
Job Description
To troubleshoot SDH circuits ranging from E1 to STM-64 bandwidth.
To monitor Long Haul amplifiers.
Root Cause analysis from NMS Alarms.
To co-ordinate with field engineers on solutions to troubleshoot and repair complex circuits, equipment configuration, optical link losses, hardware faults and PDH faults.
To co-ordinate with different groups in the NNOC such as CDMA, Switch, DCN, OSP to minimize service disruption.
To co-ordinate on Planned Event activities carried out for preventive or corrective maintenance of the network.
To maintain fault records in OSS.
Provisioning of the transport path from BTS to BSC.
