• Successfully redesigned and upgraded a 41 branch bank VSAT network, delivering end to end IP connectivity, enhanced bandwidth management and simplified network monitoring for the client. This significantly improved the performance of the Bank’s core banking system (CBS) and increased the average uptime of the branches and their ATMs.
The project involved RF redesign, end to end IP routing design through the VSAT network, bandwidth management scheme and integration with the rest of the bank’s network. Successfully managed the operations/project from inception to delivery and commissioning within tight timelines and with minimal disruption to the bank’s operations.

• Successfully designed and implemented a 6 branch VSAT network for a leading Microfinance Institution in Kenya, providing their remotest out-posts with reliable and efficient connectivity to the core banking system and international money transfer network. The Project involved RF design, IP routing design and integration with the rest of the institution’s network, project/operations management from inception to delivery and commissioning of the network within specified timelines and with minimal disruption to the rest of the network.

• Involved in the leadership of a Technical Support Team for a leading VSAT Broadband provider in Africa that won an award at WCA (World Communications Awards), 2007 for Best Operator in a Developing Market
