Mobile Wireless Job Positions

The RF Engineer is responsible for overseeing the planning and optimization of WCDMA wireless telecommunications mobile networks. He/she must have hands-on experience with planning/optimizing WCDMA networks and have the capability of training associate and design engineers in basic WCDMA network wireless planning and optimization.

MUST HAVE WORK EXPERIENCE IN performing

switch translations and specific experience with Lucent DxD. This would mean coordinating with traffic planners and facility/trunk engineers, familiarity with the LERG to monitor code changes and updates, etc.

Jobs Requirements:

- Strong background in UMTS, GSM, GPRS or - Strong background in CDMA 2000 1xRTT, 1xEVDO and good understanding of UMTS, GSM, GPRS - Requires knowledge of 3GPP/3GPP2 standards - Requires good understanding of data protocols (TCP, UDP, IP) - Requires good hands-on experience with tools like Actix, TEMS and Agilent

- Requires experience in voice calls optimization in CDMA/UMTS networks

- Requires experience in Call Drop Assessment Analysis

- Requires RF optimization experience (including neighbor list tuning, antenna down-tilts, azimuth changes etc) - Requires experience with RF performance KPIs - Network planning skills desired - Experience in similar wireless jobs is an asset - Requires strong verbal and written communication skills - Must be a team player
