Be a part of an exciting new team that is delivering on Redback's vision of next-generation broadband and managed enterprise services. In this role you will work with Product Management in helping define the enhanced service set, conceive and brainstorm service delivery ideas, and design and develop software on SmartEdge, the industry leading Multi-Service Edge Router. Our award winning products help service providers build broadband networks that can deliver triple play services like: IPTV, Video on Demand, Multimedia Networking, Multi-play etc.

The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for development and enhancement of mobility software on Redback's multi-service edge router solutions.

Candidate Profile:

• 7 to 20years experience in an embedded data communications environment

• Exceptional C programming skills with strong systems design skills; FreeBSD and/or related

Operating Systems

• Strong background in Mobility and IP routing preferred

• Development experience in Mobile IP, GTP or other mobility protocols

• Experience with IPv6, Fast Convergence, High Availability (HA), L2VPN, L3VPN, VLAN,

MobileIP, GGSN, and WiMax a plus.

• Experience implementing and enhancing IP routing algorithms in an embedded environment.

• Experience with broadband access related protocols desirable

• Experience with

IPSEC, EAP, SIP

• BS degree in Computer Science and/or related disciplines.

This is a heavy hands-on programming role, but will have the opportunity to do more than 100% coding. This role will have the chance to work with Product Management, Standards bodies (IETF, etc), interface with Customers, Architecture, Product Design, Protocol Design, Software Design, etc – full lifecycle!
