Tower Field Services Technician JobsResponsibilities:
The primary responsibilityof the field services technician will be to perform a list of preventative maintenance procedures at sites on a scheduled basis.• The technician will also investigate, analyze, and resolve/escalate any corrective maintenance apparent on sites within market. • The technician will handle transportation of equipment Installation/De-installation of coax line, connectors, antenna and accessories; and perform maintenance on tower equipment. Some tower climbing will be involved. • The technician's will work with a spare part inventory and must report the tracking of spares and faulty parts return. • The technician will be required to demonstrate knowledge of OSHA safety laws and policies. Multi-tasking in a demanding environment. • Must be punctual to time tables and due dates. Significant travel is required within specified market. • Must be able to lift 80 pounds. • Excellent planning, time management and organizing skills. Strong attention to detail. • Demonstrated ability to complete tasks to completion. • Must have a valid driver's license, proof of car insurance, and clean driving record. • Must be able to pass background check and drug test. General Competence• High School Diploma or GED Current required. • A degree in Electrical Engineering/ Telecommunications Engineering/ Computer Science/ Computer Engineering or Equivalent a major plus. • 2 years of experience in a IS/IT or transmission network implementation / integration / operation / support or testing environment is highly preferred. • Will be required to obtain ComTrain, NATE or equivalent certification in Tower Climbing Safety and Rescue. • Minimum of 6 months of experience as a tower climber. • Good navigational sense and understanding of market locale.. • Manage both written and spoken English. • Able to work independently. • Flexible and responsive to changing work patterns and demands. • Able to work as a member of a team. • Open approach to solving problems and dealing with new proposals. • A thorough and methodical approach to work. • Must be able to work to tight time scales. • High Degree of analytical and investigative abilities. • Focused on network (service) performance Technical Competence• Excellent knowledge of all related network elements including related test instruments / tools • Basic knowledge of Ericsson’s network implementation / integration processes • Experience with Microwave equipment installation and maintenance a plus. • Experience with WiMax equipment installation and maintenance a plus • Excellent handling skills of the above mentioned equipment • Good knowledge of the network topology, its traffic handling capabilities and traffic characteristics • Basic knowledge of network performance / configuration / parameters • Network service / performance focused Tower Field Services Technician Jobs |
