Verizon Confirms: No Verizon iPhone 3GS or 4G, Maybe 5G

With months of speculation including a report from the Wall Street Journal, DigiTimes and even leaked details of Landor Associates directing the next Verizon iPhone commercial, Verizon has finally decided to officially step up and spill the beans on whether Apple's revolutionary iPhone is joining their network.
No Verizon iPhone in the immediate future

In an interview by Beet.TV at the at the D8 AllThingsD conference, Verzion spokesman John Johnson admitted there were no plans to carry Apple devices "in the immediate future".

If this wasn't disappointing enough, the fact that Johnson said "Apple devices" would automatically imply the iPad as well.

So now we can confirm that come June 7th when the iPhone 4G is launched during WWDC, it will only be AT&T picking up customers for the highly anticipated handset. As for Verizon, they plan to stick with pushing the latest Androids this year, hinting the Motorola Droid 2 and Motorola Shadow. And for Verizon customers still eager for the iPhone, you may be stuck waiting another year (iPhone 5G?).
