Skype updates their iOS application, supports video calling over WiFi and 3G

Skype have just updated their application for iOS, and it’s a pretty major update as well, bringing with it video calling over WiFi and 3G data connections. This is one of the main limitations of Apple’s own system, FaceTime, which only works with WiFi connections as of present.

Other bonuses for the updated application include the ability to hold video conversations with users of Skype on Windows and Mac OS X, and it allows for a one way video conversation with users of older iOS devices and the iPad, making use of the rear camera on the iPhone 3GS.
