Vodafone launches Mobile Wi-Fi device

Vodafone has launched a Mobile Wi-Fi device, which will turn a 3G connection into a Wi-Fi hotspot.

The mobile network is following in the footsteps of 3, which launched a similar device last year.
Just like 3's MiFi, the Mobile Wi-Fi is manufactured by Huawei. Measuring 90x60x12mm and weighing 90, the battery-powered Mobile Wi-Fi lets up to five different devices connect to the net via one 3G connection.

It can be recharged via the USB port, and Vodafone claims one charge offers 100 hours of standby time of 100 hours or four hours of use. It supports HSDPA connections up to 7.2Mbps and HSUPA connections up to 5.76Mbps.
