Samsung Will Release In September An Update To The Galaxy’s GPS Software

Carla Saaverda announced to the press via Twitter that Samsung will launch an update for its GPS program on Galaxy S. The release date will be sometime in September this year.

She also declared that the GPS version is already in testing and that they will do everything that is possible to make it on time.

Some of the things that this upgrade will deliver are the optimization of the Moment, Captivate and Vibrant.

In other news Samsung will also release later this month the Epic 4 (August 31st to be more exact but the preorders are already on the run since the 13th of this month). A quick recap of the phone’s vitals: 4-inch super AMOLED display, 1 GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird processor, slide-out QWERTY keyboard, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, 3G and 4G radios, 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with support for 720p video recording, front facing VGA camera, and Android 2.1. The price of the device is around $250 and it will arrive at Sprint.
