My client are looking for an experience Technical Project Manager to join their vibrant and well-renowned development team in the South East of England. This role offers the opportunity for career development with an industry leader in the Wireless / Telecoms arena.

Main Duties and Responsibilities for the Technical Project Manager

- Implementation of product development process including
- Presentation of development phases and costs
- Setting of and reporting progress against key project milestones
- Identification of required resources
- Work with Product Management team to prepare product roadmaps.
- Responsible for recruitment, motivation, development and retention of staff
- Project technical authority
- Management of project engineering team
- Management of engineering sub-contracts (local/offshore)
- Management of relationship with engineering partners (customers/other)
- Management of local team budget
- Identification and implementation of appropriate local work procedures to ensure on time, high quality deliveries.
- Provide input into departmental direction and goal setting
- Provide input into departmental budget setting
- Understanding of competitors\' position in the relevant marketplace
- Typically manages a team of 12+ engineers (direct or non-direct reports/subcontractors)

Required Experience from the Technical Project Manager
-Domain expertise in 3gpp protocols OR
-Expert in development of software for implementing (layers 1 to 3) the OSI communication protocol model
-Software design and development using Java or C++
-OO software design methodologies
-Previous line management experience
-Previous project management experience

Salary GBP65000 - GBP75000 per annum
