Details Senior Hardware Project Manager - Hardware Systems, IC, Baseband

This is a position critical to our growing business to ensure we achieve our objectives. An ideal candidate may come from a technical field in IC or Hardware Systems, but is looking for a broader challenge in converting leadership in cellular and AP development into a platform for dominance of the smartphone chip space.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Full project life-cycle coordination and reporting responsibility from feasibility, to design and specification, through development, launch, and handover to maintenance of products or feature-sets.
- Planning, tracking, reporting and risk management
- Liaising with different engineering groups and external partners.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Additional professional project management qualifications would be advantageous but not essential
- Project management experience in chip / hardware development, preferably in the mobile communications industry, and including technical experience in at least one of the following roles
* IC development and delivery processes
* Cellular Baseband technology platform delivery
* Processor development
* IC Operations test and productisation

Tool-set competence is assumed e.g. MS Project and MS Office - but success in the role will be based on a solid foundation of technical insight and common sense in the relevant domains, as well as flexibility, tenacity and commitment. Key skills would include
- Hardware development process and lifecycle knowledge
- Familiarity with project management, defect tracking and SCM methodologies
- Ability to engage technically with highly skilled development engineers and extract essential project metrics
- Interpersonal skills to persuade and lead project team to success
- Highly proactive and able to think creatively in order to meet with agreed deadlines

Salary GBP40000 - GBP70000 per annum excellent package
