Details Senior Embedded Engineer - LTE, Protocol Stack

We are looking for a talented Embedded Software Engineer that is looking to work on contract at a fantastic daily rate.

Position Summary
- To assist in the development or real-time embedded software for the LTE product range, in particular for the Layer 1 Controller.
- The main duties of this role will include design, implementation and test of complex real-time embedded components forming part of the LTE protocol stack in the test mobile product.

Requirements
- The successful candidate should have an Honors Degree in Electronic or Communications Engineering and have previously worked on LTE and UMTS either in handset or base station development as a design and implementation role.

- The candidate should have extensive experience of real-time embedded application development using the C programming language have experience of mobile communication products, primarily LTE Layer 1 and Layer 2, and protocols.

- Knowledge of real-time operating systems, especially VxWorks and experience of developing multi-tasking and socket based applications is essential.

- The candidate must be able to write clear, portable, maintainable and efficient code and concise and accurate documentation.

- They must have the ability and willingness to work methodically within a defined process to produce high quality software and have knowledge of ClearCase and ClearQuest.

- The individual must be enthusiastic, intelligent, numerate and be a clear verbal and written communicator. They must be able to deliver to tight deadlines and be a cooperative team player, pragmatic and adaptable.
