Our client is looking for an experienced Software Development engineer on a great 6 months (rolling) contract basis.

Salary GBP30 - GBP35 per hour

Key Responsibilities
Software development responsibilities are more generalist in nature and systems oriented rather than a specific responsibility for a particular protocol, or technology. Development work could range from PC based COM / MFC / GUI software development through to embedded C/C++.

Apart from utilising several different software technologies responsibilities will cover
o Software analysis, design, implementation and test.
o Interaction with collaborators may require some work outside core hours.
o Some travel may be required.

Skills Required
Essential
o Solid commercial full lifecycle software development experience
o TCP/IP and UDP stack experience
o Proven experience of programming in C/C++
o C embedded system development experience
o Practical experience with Windows development tools.
o Experience with standard source code management and defect tracking tools.
o Pro-active problem solver with the ability to work to tight timescales

Highly Desirable
o COM / MFC experience
o RTOS experience
o Practical experience with, and knowledge of EUTRAN, UTRAN or GERAN protocols
