Details a world leader in underground data and communications systems for the underground mining environment. This involves a complete network using Ethernet, fiber optics, WIFi access points and related equipment including video cameras, RFID tracking and gas monitoring.


Job Description:

This person and will be responsible for organizing and supervising our installations around the world. This is a position that involves a lot of travel (est 30 to 50 percent) and will involve both personnel management and hands-on work when required. The role is customer and internal facing and will involve all aspects of an installation including site co-ordination, project management, personnel allocation, subcontracting and costing. There will be significant input into presales for quotation development and into design for product refinement and specification, as well as assistance in generating all documentation and procedures suitable for the installation process.


Required Skills

- Experience in mining communications or control systems
- Project management skills
- Knowledge of Information Technology and computer networking.
- Customer and interpersonal Skills
- Willingness to Travel
- Subcontracting experience
- Experienced in working in the underground mining environment
- Knowledge of the mining process and typical mining procedures and methods
- Experience with construction projects


Experience

At least 3 years experience in the mining industry and experience in co-coordinating installations of mining systems.
